This Seville reversible quilt combines painterly floral print with a hand blocked floral grid pattern on the reverse side. The soft plush cotton voile feels sensational to the touch. The deep red and lavender hues give your bedroom a serene look with elegance. The deep red trim accentuates the floral print. Shams are not included.

The process: Hand block printing on wide width fabrics is a process that involves printing of the entire width in 3 -4 stages. Due to this processes the print alignments or creases could be imperfect. History of handcraft explains these imperfections as a character of hand print. They add a different aesthetic to the textile.

The human touch…

Part of the wide width is first stretched and pinned on to the print table. After printing the entire round of colors it is released and the next part of the wide width is pinned and printed followed by the third round. Upon printing the first 50″ the next 50″ is printed. A length of 5 m takes the whole day sometimes. A single color print takes about 5-6 hours.

The prep time for the print is about 3 hours. Dyes, dye pad, block making and fabric pinning are the imp stages before printing.
